Attention All Students

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:

No food or drinks are permitted outside of the cafeteria. If you are caught with food or drinks in the hallways there will be consequences.

Tutoring has begun. Students must sign up in the main office during lunch periods or they cannot attend. Students who wish to use the Library on Mondays to complete work, must also sign up in the main office.

Please be advised that all students are to be supervised after school. Therefore, students are not allowed to "hang around" after school without being supervised by an adult. This also includes students "hanging around" at the West Jr. High School.

Students must follow the cashless procedures for lunch. Students must use the lock boxes to apply money to their accounts. We will not be accepting money at the register any longer for breakfast or lunch.

SPORTS:

Intramurals: Must have signed parental/guardian consent form. Forms are in the athletic office.

The 5:30 activity bus will be available.

Girls’ Soccer Intramurals are starting!! Open to any girl in grades 7-12. Starting Monday, January 5th at the West High School Aux Gym 6:30-8:00PM. Training sessions will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until the middle of March. Please have an Intramural form completed for participation.

Girls softball intramurals will beon TuesdayandThursdaynights from6:00 to 8:00 starting Tuesday January 20thin the West Jr. H. S.

CLUBS&ACTIVITES:

Attention all PJAS participants! We will be registering for the competition; if you did not attend the session it is imperative that you see Dr. Thackara before holiday break to receive important paperwork.

Urbane will meet again Tuesday, January 6th.

Ms. Buffington will be holding credit recovery for Parenting Skills and Health/PE today, Tuesday, Dec. 23. Please see her, if you have questions.

The rumors are true! Tailgate 2.0 takes place onFriday, January 9thafter school until5:30, right before the biggest conference basketball game of the year against Stroudsburg! Tailgate 2.0 features Blow-up games such as the four man joust, wrecking ball, bungee race, and obstacle courses. Tailgate also features free carnival-style games with prizes, open gym basketball and soccer, video games, food, and for the first time at West, the hilarious and mind-blowing Steven Christopher Comedy Hypnosis Show in which students will be hypnotized right in front of their classmates in the audience. Students can sign up for Tailgate when they purchase tickets to the basketball game at all lunches onJanuary 6th, 7th, or 8th. The cost for both the game tickets and pass to Tailgate is only $5. GUIDANCE INFORMATION:

Financial Aid Night has been rescheduled to 1/14/15 at 7 pm in the West High School Auditorium. Bring your parents to learn how to find money for college.

Information will be on hand to learn how to fill out the FAFSA and the Local Scholarship Book will be available. Stop in the Guidance office for more information.

University of Pennsylvania is offering a summer Engineering Academy for students in grades 10-12 who are interested in a career in Engineering / Biotechnology / Nanotechnology / Robotics or Computer Science.The program will be held on their campus in Philadelphia fromJuly 5-25.
