President–______, it is my great pleasure on behalf of the board of directors and members of the (Insert Club Name) to welcome you as a member. We welcome you for your fellowship and also for your strength which will help us carry out our many projects to make our community, our country and the world a better place to live.

Rotarian # One - Rotarians are vitally concerned with everything pertaining to good citizenship and the election of good men and women to public office.

Rotary activities exemplify the charity and the sacrifices that one should expect from people who believe that they have the responsibility to help others. Rotary is built on those everlasting principles that have served as a moral compass for people throughout the ages.

Rotarian # Two – Rotary is an organization of business and professional people, nearly 1.3 million strong in 200 countries and geographical areas, pledged to upholding the highest professional standards. Rotarians believe that worldwide fellowship and international peace can be achieved when business people unite under the banner of service.

Rotarian # Three - You have been chosen for membership in the(Insert Rotary Club name) because your fellow members believe you to be a leader in your business or profession and because you demonstrate those qualities that make you a Rotarian not just a member of a Rotary Club.

You are the representative of your vocation in this club. We rely on you to carry the principles and ideals of service to those who share your profession.

Rotarian # Four - One of those principles is The 4 Way Test - For many decades Rotarians around the world have used the 4 Way Test as a tool to develop respect and understanding among people. If constantly applied to relations with others, it will make a definite contribution to more effective and friendlier associations. Get in the habit of checking your thoughts, words and actions against the 4 Way Test. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendship? Will it be beneficial to all?

Rotarian # Five –There are four elements in the Object of Rotary. The first is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and in particular, encourage and foster the development of an acquaintance as an opportunity for service; Second - strive for high ethical standards in business and professions; to recognize the worthiness of all useful occupations. Let each Rotarian dignify his or her occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

Rotarian # Six - Third - The application of the ideal of service by each Rotarian to personal, business, and community life. Fourth - The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world of fellowship of business and professional women and men united in the ideal of service. We believe the Object of Rotary fills a real need in our lives.

President – I ask your sponsoring member to present you with your Rotary pin and to offer you the hand of Rotary fellowship.

Fellow Rotarians I have the pleasure of presenting the world’s newest Rotarian ______.

ALL - Welcome to the (Insert Club Name).
