Fundamentals of Lighting Design And Specification
Introduction: / The arrival of LED lighting has presented architects with new options as well as new challenges. In this presentation I will cover the basic principles of lighting and the details of how to specify LEDs.
We will cover the various properties of light like colour temperature & CRI and the light fittings or tools of light. Last but not least we will learn how to correctly specify products to ensure dimming compatibility.
Biography: / Shaun has been a lighting consultant for 13years and over the course of his career has done extensive work in the commercial, residential and hospitality fields.
In 2011 he founded the Lighting Guild with his business partner Simon who is an industrial designer and together they have produced a range of luminaires that enable designers to create the spaces they envisage.
Shaun is passionate about improving the lit environment and is actively sharing his experience and knowledge with architects and interior designers whether it be in the class room or on a project.
