  2. Theresa Bryant re-elected as SIT secretary
  1. Chain of communication—if there is an issue you would like to be discussed during SIT, please send all communication to your department’s SIT rep.
  1. SIP update and timeline
  2. Achievement Gap--We will work on closing the Gap by continuing the literacy thread
  3. Teacher Leadership—1/2 Day ER opportunities by making presentations about what strategies worked/didn’t work from last year and submissions for new presenters about Core values, Haiku, Discipline, EVAAs and other suggestions.
  4. Literacy strategies post to Haiku?
  5. Workshops preferred to large-group, plenary meetings.

Dates are: Feb. 8th, March 1st, March 22nd

  1. School PDP Goal: Refer to email from Vickie Lail(excerpt below).

You MUST complete the Orientation and the Self-Assessment by no later than September 1 (earlier the better!) Nothing can happen until this is completed.

PDPs are due by no later than September 30 – that’s not much time so you may want to get on that before the month slips away. You will again have 2 goals. One will be a personal goal based on your self-assessment or based on last year’s Summary Evaluation. The 2ndwill be the school wide goal that SIT has developed. Easiest thing to do is to copy and paste this into your PDP document.

oBy year end 2017, I will incorporate at least 2research-based instructional reading strategies in my classroom lessons to help reduce the achievement gap evident between higher-performing groups and sub-groups of EC (Exceptional Children), African American, ED (Economically Disadvantaged), and EL (English Learners).

  2. Care for kids—fundraising and assisting local Hospitals and cancer centers. Advisor: Dr. Cranford
  3. WF mountain biking—trail riding, trail upkeep and professional racing. Advisor: Dr. Eklund

All Staff members are invited to attend SIT meetings.

Meetings are in the Media Center and start at 8:15
