Athletic Club of the Sandhills

Members Present:Con O’Mahoney, Todd Abbey,Dave Macaulay,Cori Waldschmidt, Chris Gilder, Chris Miller, Luis Pages, Mike Martin& Karen Gutierrez..

Meeting was called to order at 6:25PM.

December 16, 2015 meeting minutes approved.

President’s Report:

Executive Director’s Report:

  • Staff meetings were held and all are aware of their specific targets.
  • Lots of events coming up – Futsal, Bubble Soccer and more.
  • Sponsorship packages are going out this week.
  • Facebook is showing lots of action.
  • Tiffani Abbey is going to talk with Chris Miller about the banquet and marketing it.
  • Trevor and Julio – discussions were had and made aware of financial ties to their positions.
  • Staff reviews need to be documentedand held with three people present (staff member, director and board member). All reviews are to be signed by all.
  • US Kids Golf is interested in working together with the club.
  • Individual meetings were held with Pat Corso, Nick Picerno and Caleb Miles regarding the Sports Commission to see if ACS should be involved. P. Corso and N. Picerno are a yes, Caleb Miles is a no

Treasurer’s Report:

  • Budget continues to be a work in progress. Soon to be on a month-to-month balancing.

Fundraising Committee Report:

  • Board needs to focus on the banquet.
  • Main concern is cost.
  • Needs to be an annual event, family oriented, casual and simple.
  • Should be held during first two weeks of April.

Indoor Facility:

  • Mike Martin is meeting with Buck Mims revisiting having the facility brought back to the committee.
  • Steps for next Presentation –
  • Only volleyball tournaments
  • Straight forward with numbers
  • No cost to Aberdeen only profit.
  • Possibility of a volleyball tournament to be held in April
