And The Emmy Goes To…
For the First Time in Our History We Have A Three-Way Tie and More Ties Than Ever Before atThe 38thAnnual Mid-America Emmy® Awards
St. Louis, MO. September 28, 2014 – The Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) awarded the 38th Annual Mid-America Emmy® Awards Saturday night in theGrand Hall of the Kansas City Convention Center. A crowd of more than 450 attended the VIP cocktail reception, dinner and awards gala. This year’s gala was hosted by Daytime Emmy® award-winning game show host, Todd Newton.
During the evening, NATAS honored four television veterans for their decades of service in the industry. Bob Clark from KSDK in St. Louis, Diana Davis from KAIT in Jonesboro, AR, Ned Reynolds from KY3 in Springfield, MO and Johnny Rowlands from KMBC in Kansas City, MO were all inducted into the NATAS Silver Circle, which honors 25 years or more in the television industry.
Les Garland was presented the prestigious Governor’s Award for lifetime achievement by his good friend Glenn Frey from “The Eagles.”Garland is a Springfield, Missouri native, media icon and Co-Founder of the MTV Networks.
