The Chief Commissioner invites Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members to join her at a Girlguiding South West England Roadshow at the Reading Climbing Centre

This Roadshow offers a special opportunity for the girls to try climbing and bouldering to suit all skill levels:

On:Saturday 27February 2016–from11.30am

Cost: There is no charge for the day

However we ask that you send a cheque for £5 per head (made payable to Girlguiding South West England) which will be returned when you arrive at the climbing centre. If you do not attend and do not inform us by midday on 25th February 2016 then we will process the cheque. We are having to do this due to the high number of girls who did not turn up at our roadshows during 2015.

The Reading Climbing Centreoffers climbing walls to suit all ages and all skill levels. You do not need to have previous experience – the climbing instructors will ensure that you keep safe and they will give you expert tuition.

Girlguiding has arranged for 3 sessions during the dayexclusively for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members in Girlguiding South West England. Each session will last approximately 1 ½ hours.

We would like to invite Parents and Carers to come and join us for refreshments and to meet Solange, the Chief Commissioner. We also require Parents and Carers to sign the necessary permission forms before the girls can take part in the climbing activities. Parents and Carers are then welcome to stay while their daughter is enjoying the climbing or bouldering.

For Leaders, we will be holding a ‘Meet the Chief Commissioner’ session during the day which will give you the opportunity to meet Solange and to chat to her about what is happening in Girlguiding and in the Region.

The Reading Climbing Centrehas great road and public transport links. The M4, A329(M) and A33 are just minutes away.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Booking forms will only be accepted with a membership number for all of the Girlguiding members. Please contact your unit leader if you are unsure of your membership number.
