The Chief Commissioner invites Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members to join her at a Girlguiding South West England Roadshow at the Quay Climbing Centre, Exeter.
This Roadshow offers a special opportunity for the girls to try climbing and bouldering to suit all skill levels:

Cost: There is no charge for the day
However we ask that you send a cheque for £5 per head (made payable to Girlguiding South West England) which will be returned when you arrive at the climbing centre. If you do not attend and do not inform us by midday on 25thJanuary 2017 then we will process the cheque. We are having to do this due to the high number of girls who did not turn up at our previous roadshows in 2015 and 2016.
The Quay Climbing Centreoffers climbing walls to suit all ages and all skill levels. You do not need to have previous experience – the climbing instructors will ensure that you keep safe and they will give you expert tuition.
Girlguiding has arranged for 3 sessions during the dayexclusively for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members in Girlguiding South West England. Each session will last approximately 1 ½ hours.
We would like to invite Parents and Carersto come and join us for refreshments and to meet Carole, the Chief Commissioner. We also require Parents and Carers to sign the necessary permission forms before the girls can take part in the climbing activities. Parents and Carers are then welcome to stay while their daughter is enjoying the climbing or bouldering.
The Quay Climbing Centre is the South West’s largest indoor climbing wall.The climbing arena is full of space and light. Within the arenawe have 85 hangers each with up to 3 lines of climbing making for well over 200 routes to try at any time. There’s a14.5 metre lead wall, top roped walls from 7 to 11 metres, 5 auto belays for solo climbers and a dedicated novice zone as well as two boulder caves More information can be found at:

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Booking forms will only be accepted with a membership number for all of the Girlguiding members. Please contact your unit leader if you are unsure of your membership number.
