Anatomical models / Most anatomical models are too expensive for purchase by primary schools. However, sharing the cost within a cluster group is possible. Alternatively, some secondary schools are willing to lend this type of equipment for short periods of time.
Where there are removable parts provide a list which numbers and names the parts to ensure the correct number is in place after use.

Ear / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use. Use masking tape to avoid damage
Eye / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use. Use masking tape to avoid damage
Heart / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use. Use masking tape to avoid damage
Human anatomy / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use. Use masking tape to avoid damage
Human torso / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use. Use masking tape to avoid damage.
Inside-out tunics / Ensure that removable parts are on the tunic when not in use and store in a box or a bag.
Peak flow meter / Make sure that children do not over exert themselves.
For hygiene reasons the peak flow card tube should only be used once.
Pulse meter / Make sure that children do not over exert themselves.
Skeleton / Store carefully, either in a box or on its stand with a cover.
Skeleton floor puzzle / Ensure all pieces are in box or bag, label the bag or box with the number of pieces.
Stethoscope / Stethoscopes vary in quality and certainly work less well if used over several layers of clothing or in a very noisy area.
Tooth / Ensure that removable parts are taped on to the model when not in use.
X-rays / Store in large envelope to prevent damage.
