AOIC Vocal Production course for choral singers

Course Information

Back by popular demand, the AOIC, in association with Leinster School of Music, Griffith College, Dublin, Vocal Production course returns for 4 weeks in April and May.

·  Classes will cover the basics of healthy, natural singing technique, breath control and support, posture and will include vocal exercises and warm ups.

·  This course consists of four, one and a half-hour sessions on Saturday 13th / 20th / 27th April and May 11th.

Please note the first session, April 13th will be a Joint Session, lasting from 10.30 am – 1.30 pm.

·  Classes will run on Saturday mornings in partnership with Leinster School of Music and Drama at Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin 8.

·  There are two classes:

o  Lower voices (Alto and Basses) 10.30am to 12.00pm

o  Upper voices (Soprano and Tenor)12.00pm to 1.30pm

·  To ensure each student benefits fully from the course, numbers will be limited to 12 per class.

·  The classes will be facilitated by Alan Leech (Dublin) of the National Chamber Choir of Ireland.

COURSE FEES : Fees include 6 hours’ tuition and resources

AOIC Member/Student (student card required): €100

AOIC Non-member: €120

Please note participants are expected to provide ownpencils, manuscript, notebook etc.
