Assignments & Projects - Honors

Homework/Classwork:

·  This will be assigned almost every day.

·  You will find ALL assignments, classwork, info about quizzes/test, etc. on the Unit Syllabus.

·  This syllabus will be given to you at the beginning of EVERY unit. Pay close attention to this syllabus and follow it very carefully. I will NOT remind you of assignments, upcoming quizzes/tests, etc. You will be responsible for ALL work on your own.

·  There should be NO excuses about missing an assignment due to an absence.

·  Any missed assignments/projects must be in on the day assigned. If you are absent, the assignment will be due the day you arrive back at school. If you are on a field trip, you are responsible for that day's work NO MATTER WHAT. Make sure your assignment is in my possession on the day it is due (if not, the day before). You may bring it to me personally in the morning before the trip or have a friend drop it off. You MUST have it to me that day or else it is a zero.

·  Any emergencies, long absences (more than 2 days) or problems, should be discussed with Mrs. Hurta as soon as possible. DO NOT tell me about problems the day before or the day an assignment is due. This includes: sickness, printer problems, computer glitches, etc.

Projects:

·  Each marking period you will be assigned one - two major projects.

·  These projects could be a writing assignment, a tangible project or research. They will be included as test grades.

·  These must be handed in on time or points will be deducted from the final grade.

·  Any project that is NOT handed in on time will have 10 pts deducted from each day it is late (ONLY two days is allowed).

·  If you are absent or on a field trip, then you MUST get the project to me on that day. You will NOT be given any extra time to work on it and hand it in later.
