Positive Reflection “Thank You” Video Assignment
You are to create a positive reflection “Thank You” video. This video will begin as a history of you, your family, and the important people who have allowed you to become the person you are today. Prior to creating your video you should reflect back throughout your childhood. This assignment requires deep emotional reflection. You are to say, “Thank You” to everyone in your life that has allowed you to become the person you are today (friends, family, teachers, coaches, people in the community, etc.). This assignment is similar to the autobiography writing assignment you completed as freshmen though this project only focuses on the positive aspects of your life; now four years later you should have a significant amount more to reflect back on.
You need to include important photographs in your video: Family photos, photos of your friends, photos of you participating in extra-curriculum activities, team photos, band photos, club photos, photos of art work you have created, music you have created, etc… You need to stay focused throughout the assignment reminding yourself to document all of your positive experiences…
The second half of the video should be a positive look towards your future. Let everyone you thank know where you plan to be in four years from today, where you plan to be ten years from today, etc… Let everyone know: what you plan to do professionally, where you would like to live, what you would like to accomplish, what you would like your home and family life to look like in the future, etc.
(Your video is personal and will only be viewed by others if you wish to share).
It would be awesome if you gave a copy of your video to your parents, teachers, coaches, etc… after graduation as a way to say thank you for supporting me and allowing me to become the person I am today.

Mental Illness Video Assignment
You are to choose a mental illness from your list in your journal or the list below to research. You must find three sources of information. Your bibliography should include one .edu or college/university website and one .org (organization) or .gov (government) website. The third source should be an article or video or podcast from a reputable source on the illness you are researching. Include your sources URL in your visual presentation.
You must organize your found information into a video presentation (videos will be viewed by all health 12 classes).
You should begin your video presentation by showing:
Visual symptoms of the chosen illness as well as visually show ways people with the chosen illness are the same as everyone else around them.
Allow the class to diagnose the symptoms (do not use text to identify the illness, avoid verbal cues, which will identify your illness).

Misconceptions about your chosen illness
Ways people have overcome their adversities/or have learned to deal with their daily stresses the illness causes
