After undergoing training and passing exams, I have qualified to become an IELTS Examiner. I currently
test students levels of English for both writing and speaking modules of the exam, and score students
accordingly.

I taught English to students on foreign exchange groups. Class sizes were approximately 12 students, aged between 12 years and 20 years of age. The role involved:
- Assessing students ability and putting them in the correct level class
- Creating week long courses suitable to their level which challenge and stretch students level of understanding, while at the same time maintaining an interesting learning environment
Work involves mapping out areas of London and the information recorded is then used towards compiling a highly detailed map of London. The work requires working outside for long periods of time and attention to detail is extremely important.

Qiaorun Trading is a company in Kunming, Chinaand imports mining and construction equipment. Our main customerwas the largest coal mine in China, based in Inner Mongolia.
- Responsible for liaising with UKsupplier Brunton Shaw UK (a wire rope manufacturer). Assisted arranging a $2 million wire rope tender to be sold to the Inner Mongolian mine. We competed with German, American and UK wire rope manufacturers and we were successful in winning the contract.
- Responsible for sourcing and negotiating price with other mining equipmentmanufacturers based all over the world.
- I gave presentations in Chinese about Brunton Shaw UK to prospective customers
- Building up and nurturing relationships with existing and potential customers was highly important in this role. As well as working independently I also worked as part of a team, and played a key role in the department’s decision making. It was an excellent experience in how business works in China.
