General Conditions of Acceptable Returns
A. The books were ordered from Wolters Kluwer Law & Business on a returnable basis, please see separate guidelines below for textbooks and study aids.
B. All returned books must be in saleable condition. Books that are returned and are not in saleable condition will be destroyed and no credit will be issued. Saleable condition is defined as books free from defects in the binding, front or back covers, pages, and corners of the book, and free from notes, markings or highlighting.Books that arrive in shrinkwrap with other materials, including CDs or access cards, or other books must be in the original, unbroken shrink wrap or no credit will be issued.
C. The shipment is returned at the customer’s expense.
- The shipping charges for the return of books that were damaged in transit or shipped in error from Wolters Kluwer Law & Business will be the responsibility of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.
- Claims for damaged, short-shipped, or mis-shipped books must be received by Wolters Kluwer Law & Business within 30 days of receipt of the order by the bookstore or wholesaler.

Returns sent to any other address will be refused and returned to the sender.
Text Return Policy Credit for Returns
Returns that arrive within 1 year of the original invoice date, meet the above criteria and include accurate invoice information will be credited at the full invoice value. This includes bundles, casebooks, coursebooks, and supplements.
Returned titles that are not accompanied by valid invoice information or where the invoice provided is already fully returned against will not be accepted. The bookstore will be contacted and given the opportunity to reclaim the books but will need to pay return shipping costs.
Study Aid Criteria Credit for Returns
Returns must arrive within the life of the edition of the study aid* (when a new edition is released) and meet the above criteria and include accurate invoice information to be credited at the full invoice value.
*study aids will also be acceptedbeyond the life of the edition if the return arrives at our Frederick warehouse within 120 days of the stated out-of-print date (OOP date).

Custom Books
Returns for custom books follow the same policy above but are limited to 20% of purchased quantity.
