CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

Application Instructions

The Southern Colorado Branch of ASCE is awarding up to $2000 in scholarships to outstanding junior or senior level civil engineering students enrolled in a Southern Colorado University or is a high school graduate from Southern Colorado. The minimum requirements and application instructions for applying for this scholarship are outlined below:

1.  Must be a junior or senior level student majoring in an ABET accredited civil engineering or civil engineering technology program at a Southern* Colorado University.

OR

A Southern* Colorado High School Graduate who is a junior or senior level student majoring in an ABET accredited civil engineering or civil engineering technology program.

2.  Must be an active** member of the university’s ASCE student chapter.

3.  Must complete the attached application.

4.  Must include an essay explaining student’s reasoning for choosing civil engineering as a major, describing student’s plans after graduation, and highlighting the student’s involvement in ASCE.

5.  Must include one letter of recommendation from a non-relative.

6.  Must include a copy of the student’s college transcripts (transcript can be an unofficial copy).

7.  Must include a copy of the student’s resume.

It is the goal of the Southern Colorado Branch to award this scholarship in November 2016.
