SafeWorkSAundertookaninitiativetostreamlinethecollectionofasbestosremovalnotificationdataandotherdocumentsthatwererequiredtobeprovidedtotheworkhealthandsafetyregulator.

Anonlineportalwasdevelopedtoeliminatetheadministrativeburdenanddelaysforasbestosremovalistsasaresultofprocessinghardcopyforms,includingnotificationforms,clearancecertificatesandwaste transportcertification.

Tolaunchthenewonlineportal,SafeWorkSAprovidedasbestosremovalistswithauniqueusername,passwordandtraining.Theonlinenotificationportalaimstomakethenotificationprocessasstreamlinedanduser-friendlyaspossible,andensuresallmandatoryinformation isprovided.

Asbestosremovalistshavetheoptiontoselectanairmonitoringcompanyoralicensedasbestosassessortocomplywiththeregulatoryrequirementofair
