AS Summer Project
Task 1
You must complete 30 drawings for your summer project –work from your own Primary sources and add these photos as visual links to your compositions.
You can crop and zoom into to any image to allow you to focus your drawings on a key area. All of your drawings can be completed in a number of styles including line, analytical, crosshatch, illustrative, continuous line or stipple.
This can be completed using a range of drawing media including fine liner, pencil, charcoal, marker pen, biro, ink, or combination of any of the above mentioned.
You must explore all of the formal elements and make a note of this alongside your composition. This will include, line, shape and form, texture, colour, tone, positive and negative space, perspective and pattern.

- Complete a collage using Rubbings
- Water –Puddle, bubbles, rain, dripping tap etc.

- Fear/dislike
- A piece of jewellery/watch
All 30 drawings must be completed for your first session back after the Summer Break.
Drawings can be in your own chosen media and formal elements listed, they can be a minimum size of 4”x6”(standard photo print) and maximum size A2.
This will allow teaching staff to assess your skills and suitability for the course, as well as be part of your select and present assessment in September for presentation on boards and group crits.
Previous student work
Task 2
You must complete a written report on one artist that you can link to your own style of working, this must be completed on a word document with at least one example of the artist work and analysis of thisincluding the title, artist, year, size and media.
