· Humanize Not Militarize Poster Project
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Come see how provocative posters can stimulate discussion and new thinking on a number of issues facing our communities. The “Humanize not Militarize” Exhibit of the American Friends Service Committee has dozens of posters created by young artists to challenge the status quo on immigration and borders, prisons, gun violence, police violence and war. Information on having the posters come to your church/organization will be available.

· Immigrants, Migrants and Refugees: A Conversation About Local Impact
The levels of fear, ignorance and vitriol have brought public discourse around immigration to new lows. But what can we do within our congregations to combat some of that fear? Join us for a screening of the short film “ Locked in a Box”, followed by discussion. Andlearn about howsome congregations are becoming involved in new sanctuary efforts to shelter families at risk of deportation, and we can do to respond.

Tuesday, April 12th 2016 at 10:00 am is the next gathering of the Presbytery of Hudson River. The Presbytery will gather for registration at 9:30 am and for the meeting at 10:00 am at the Stony Point Conference Center, Stony Point, NY.
