Satellite Events Information and Registration Details

Art in Public Places is a city wide biennial event that showcases the artwork of western region artists in businesses and public spaces across Hobsons Bay. The program links the community, local businesses, and Hobsons Bay’s vibrant arts scene, and provides an opportunity for artists and event producers to exhibit their work in an affordable and unique way.

Each year there are over 40 businesses, 50 artists and many independent events and activities that shape the program. We encourage you to take part in what will be an exciting month celebrating the arts in Hobsons Bay. In 2017 Art in Public Places will be happening from 1 to 30 September.

Each year the program is alive with independent ‘satellite’ events. These include community projects, performances, workshops, film screenings, artist talks and much more. If you have an idea for an independently produced event or already have something planned, please talk with the Arts and Culture unit to see if it can be included in the program. There is a registration section on the website for these types of events and activities.
