ART CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
THEME: Earth Day
TIMELINE: Friday, April 14th Deadline for Entries
Saturday, April 22nd All entries displayed at the Music and Arts Festival at Calibre Academy.
1. All entries must be original artwork created by a student who is currently in kindergarten through 8th grade. A student may enter the contest only once.
2. The student’s first and last name must be written or signed in the lower right-hand corner on the front of the artwork.
3. Entries may be done in marker, crayon, paint pens, watercolor, ink, acrylic, colored pencil, and/or paint. Collages and computer/photo generated art are not acceptable.
4. Entries must be no smaller than 8 ½ “ x 11” and no larger than 14” x 17”.
5. Entries must be done on paper or canvas.
6. Entries must be related to the theme.
7. First, second, and third place winners will be selected. Entries will be judged by a committee and based on creativity and representation.
8. Use of copyrighted material, including any copyrighted cartoon characters or other such material, is NOT acceptable.
9. All entries must turn in an ENTRY FORM with the artwork.
ENTRY FORMS: You may get an entry form from Mr. Swanson, Mrs. Marciniak, or the front office.
ADULT ARTISTS: Please submit an artwork for display at our festival! Adult entries will not be considered for prizes, but would further the importance of the arts in all of the students that will be attending and in our community.
