ARMOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Dear Parents,

The following is a list of supply items that will be needed to carry out the 2012-2013 instructional program. These are items that the classroom teachers would like your children to have as they begin the school year in September. Please know that you may be asked to provide additional supplies as the year goes by.

Our thanks to the Armor PTSA for offsetting the cost of chairpacks, planners and other supplies.

Kindergarten

1 large box of Kleenex

10 Elmer’s glue sticks

1 bottle of Elmer’s glue

3 boxes of 16 Crayola crayons – standard colors

1 box of Crayola markers (fat, classic colors)

1 pair student Fiskars 5” blunt scissors

2 sponges

Cotton smock (old t-shirt)

1 small supply box

1 large backpack – without wheels

1 beach towel

1 bottle of liquid soap

4 dry erase markers

1 vinyl binder – with pockets and 3-rings – MUST BE NO LARGER THAN ½”

1 orange vinyl folder

1 box of Ziploc bags

girls – sandwich size

boys – gallon size

Level 1

Tissues – 2 large boxes 4 composition notebooks

3 boxes – Crayola crayons – box of 24 $3 for chair pack

12 large glue sticks 1 small (no handle) plastic supply box

12 - #2 pencils – sharpened Smock or old shirt

(yellow only – not character pencils) 2 big pink erasers

2 – 8-packs of Crayola washable markers Gallon size Ziploc bags (both boys and girls)

Fiskars 5” blunt scissors Girls: quart size Ziploc bags

4 – plastic, 2-pocket folders Boys: sandwich size Ziploc bags

4 dry erase markers (any color)

Level 2

1 yellow highlighter Pencils – sharpened – 24 – (no character pencils)

10 glue sticks (Elmer’s preferred) 1 bottle of liquid hand soap

2 erasers – large, soft, pink 1 large box of tissues

4 black composition books Backpack – no wheels

(Mead preferred) not less than 4 plastic pocket folders – 1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 blue

100 pages Plastic pencil box – standard size

1 box of colored pencils (standard colors) 1 box of Ziploc bags (zipper style)

2 – Crayons – box of 24 only sandwich size (Mrs. Bogner and Mrs. Aman)

(Crayola preferred) gallon size (Mrs. Miller only)

1 colored pen, other than blue, black or red Fiskars 5” scissors

2 Expo dry erase markers Chairpack (washed) from 1st grade

Post It notes (no chairpack – Mrs. Bogner)

Level 3

Package of loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled) One pkg. of colored, Expo dry erase markers

Pencils – 48 – sharpened #2 1 pack of Post It Notes (4 pack)

No pencil sharpeners – please Colored pencils (24 pack) – sharpened

3 pink erasers Zippered art supply pouch

Ruler – 12” & Centimeter Scissors – Fiskars

6 glue sticks Crayons (24 pack)

4 highlighters: green, orange, yellow, pink Markers

1 red pen 4 black and white composition notebooks (not spiral)

Tissues – 3 large boxes in September 1 art smock

1 homework pocket folder of your choice 6 pocket folders – 1 of each: red, blue, yellow, green,

1 3-ring binder orange, purple

Individual teachers will require small items throughout the year beginning in September.

Special assignment notebooks will be required. Students will be able to purchase them from

their teacher in September - $3.25.

Level 4

Scissors, pointed 1 zipper pouch to include:

Tissues – 2 large boxes 24 count Crayola crayons

1 jumbo gluestick 8 thin markers

Pencils (#2) – refill as necessary 8 colored pencils

4 folders with clips and pockets (no boxes please)

4 composition notebooks – no spirals 1 protractor

2 plastic coated, sturdy folders (pockets only) – purple 12” ruler – with centimers and inches

Loose-leaf tablet (wide-rule) – refill as necessary

2 dry erase makers (not Vis-à-vis)

Special assignment notebooks will be required. Students will be able to purchase them from

their teacher in September - $3.25.

Level 5

2 dry erase markers 10-12 - #2 pencils – not mechanical type

Box of Crayola markers 10-12 – pens – blue or black

Box of crayons – 24 count 3-4 red pens

Box of colored pencils – 12 count 2 packages of writing paper – wide-ruled theme paper

Fiskars scissors 1 pkg. Post It Notes (1”x1 ½”)

1 highlighter 2 single-subject spiral notebooks – wide-ruled;

Pink Pearl eraser colors: blue, yellow

8 glue sticks 1 sturdy, red, three-subject spiral notebook, wide-ruled

1 strong, zippered pouch-type bag 6 plastic pocket folders with 3-prong fasteners

for art supplies – no plastic-hinged colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, black

art boxes 2 – 2 liter, clear, empty pop bottles

1 box of tissues NO TRAPPERKEEPERS OR BINDERS

2 black and white composition notebooks

Reminder: These supplies will need to be replaced as needed,

during the school year.

Special planners will be required. Students will be able to purchase them from their teacher

in September - $3.25.

Physical Education

Grades K – 3: sneakers, pants, short-sleeved shirts, no dresses

Grades 4 – 5: sneakers

shorts or sweatpants (no belt loops, pockets, or zippers)

lock – If using a lock, it must be purchased from physical education teachers and may be

re-used through Grade 12. Cost: $5.00

Special P.E. Classes: Fitness Club (Levels K & 1), Lunch Activities (Levels 4 & 5) – sneakers are required.

**NO CROCS, SPORT SANDALS OR SLIP-ON SNEAKERS

WILL BE ALLOWED**

**No jewelry allowed (earrings, rings, necklaces, watches).**

**Clothes worn during school day may not be worn during physical education class.

A change of clothing is necessary for Levels 4 & 5 for entire school year.

ALL GRADES: If your child needs to wear his/her glasses during physical education

class, a permission note from parent or guardian is required.
