Area Horse & Pony Care Competition at Hexham

Well done to the Junior & Senior teams who represented the club.Junior teams comprised of Georgia Ellis, Hollie Simcock & Molly Mawson, who came a very respectable 7th. Senior Team of Emma Atkinson, Charlotte Nichol & Molly Simcock, finished 8th.

Showing & Jumping Day

Fortunately the weather was better than predicted and whilst the turnout was fewer than hoped for, all competitors appeared to have a great time. Thank you to those who came and helped. We have made a profit of around £250 from this event for club funds.

The WCPC member with the most points on the day was Jen Telfer, who received the Stanley Cup and to Megan Mawson who received the overall jumping Trophy.

Well done to both!

One Day Event

Congratulations to all members who completed the ODE on the 17th May. The overall standard was good and we hope that some of you will consider representing the club at the Area Eventing in July.

Huge thank you to all those who came and helped set up for this in advance as there is a lot of work involved, also thanks to those who came and jump judged on the day.

We are reliant on a lot of volunteers who are no longer involved in the club to enable us to put on this event, and unfortunately, it was disappointing to see how few current members came to help as the funds raised from the event subsidises your instruction.

SUMMER CAMP

At Greenlands Equestrian Centre: Tuesday 4th August - Thursday 6th August

There will be two instructors this year: Jen Pearson & Fiona Britton

The Day

Instruction will include: Flatwork, Showjumping, Cross-Country and Horse & Pony care. This will be flexible depending on the weather but we will have the use of the indoor arena. There will be group activities and time in the evening for other fun events.

STABLING

We will be stabled on Mandy’s yard. Please be respectful and courteous at all times and keep the stable and yard spotless at all times.

Accommodation

Members have to make their own sleeping arrangements either by caravan, tent or horsebox and will provide their own breakfast. Lunch will be included in the cost of camp along with biscuits and cakes for snacks during the day.

Evening meals are usually a visit to the Toby carvery or something similar and often combined with an evening activity such as swimming but both are paid for independently.

The cost of camp will be kept to a minimum and no more than £170.

Members will be required to pay a £50 depositby the 26 June, complete the details below and forward to Helen Atkinson:-
