STEP 3 (A)
…& MEASURES TAKEN / The type of pet animals allowed to visit the Home are dogs only.
The Home should be contacted by visitors prior to an animal being brought to visit in order to ensure appropriateness (as per Policy 02-47: 4) such as to the animal’s size, nature / temperament etc.
STEP 3 (B)
ACTIONS REQUIRED BY WHOM / DATE / Any visiting pet (dog) MUST be kept on a leash and under the close supervision of the owner at all times.
In the event of the pet fouling, the owner is responsible for the immediate clearing of any defecation and is notify a member of staff so that the site may be sanitised according to cleaning procedures set out under Policy 02-14 (“Emergency Cleaning &Sanitisation Procedures”) .
In summer months, pets are encouraged to be outside in the garden areas; however may generally pass through the Home (leashed).
Visiting pets are NOT permitted at anytime in the kitchen or food handling areas (including dining room).
If a visiting pet becomes unsettled and disruptive, it must immediately be removed to either the garden areas or to the owners vehicle by the owner immediately.
