Summer Employment (Horticultural Aide), AD-0999-03
DUTIES: Under the Summer Hire Program, performs tasks to support horticultural work. Provides assistance with the art of cultivating flowers and plants. Learns the work processes of the work unit. Works under the supervision of a higher-grade employee to gain knowledge and understanding of the field of work. Work assignments provide opportunities to improve skills.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION: APPLICANTS MUST BE COLLEGE STUDENTS MAJORING IN HORTICULTURE, BIOLOGY OR OTHER RELATED FIELD.
Summer Employment (Information Technology Aide), AD-0999-03
DUTIES: Under the Summer Employment Program, assists IT specialists in performing information technology work. Assists in performing procedural tasks within the organization. Learns the work processes of the office or work unit. Works under the supervision of a higher-grade employee to gain knowledge and understanding of the field of work. Summer Employment (Laborer), AD-0999-03
DUTIES: Under the Summer Hire Program, performs general labor tasks. Performs indoor/outdoor work such as loading and unloading boxes and supplies, moving furniture by hand or hand truck, working in warehouses, trade shops, or store rooms. Performs work such as picking up trash and debris from surrounding buildings, cleaning and painting lampposts, etc.
Summer Employment (Office Clerk), AD-0999-03
DUTIES: Under the Summer Employment Program, performs clerical tasks to support the work of the office or program area. Performs work such as typing correspondence, answering phones, mail distribution, and filing. Operates computer and duplicating equipment. Performs other work of a general clerical nature. Learns the work processes of the office or work unit. Works under the supervision of a higher-grade employee to gain knowledge and understanding of the field of work. Work assignments provide opportunities to improve clerical and administrative skills.
