Hours:32.50 hours per week. Term time only.

Contractual Status:Fixed term until 31st August 2018.

We are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within our 2 year old provision.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside our teacher in Archibald Pre-School as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Team. You will play an important part in helping children to get the most out of their learning. The main feature of your role will be to support individuals or groups of children with day to day learning and play both in, and outside the classroom. In addition, you will support our teacher in organising the environment. Daily tasks may include:

  • setting up equipment and getting things ready for sessions.
  • helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.
  • listening to children, reading to them or telling stories .
  • comforting and caring for children if they have an accident or are upset.
  • helping the teacher to maintain records.
  • undertaking observations of children and recording the outcomes.
