President’s Message
Hello fellow APICS Members and Enthusiasts,
We are quickly approaching the end of the program year. Where does time go?! Many year-end activities are underway currently, and the board is busily working towards CBAR submissions to continue our Platinum status. This month we are pleased to once again welcome members and guests of ASQ, American Society for Quality, a global leader in quality improvement and standards. We will have the privilege of hearing about the international disaster response program managed by Samaritan’s Purse, a non-profit non-denominational Christian relief organization based in Boone, N.C. Such efforts demand complex logistical support for large scale execution of procurement and transportation requirements. Please join us as we learn about these exciting undertakings and meet new ASQ acquaintances.
Also, this month we will hold our BoD election for the 2016-17 Program Year. Bill Phillips and Mike Gahagan of the Nominating Committee have worked hard to develop a solid roster that will serve as the next leadership team for Foothills. All members will be asked to vote at the PDM. Furthermore, you should have received a notice from Brenda Erich, Foothills Secretary, informing you of a revised set of chapter By-Laws. These amendments will be adopted based on a vote taken of the membership present, so please come to represent the chapter.
I look forward to seeing you all in April!
Sincerely,
Debbie Boyle, CSCP
Foothills President
