Appreciation of Poetry

For this project you will need to read many poems, and select 3 of your favorites that relate to a theme.

  1. Copy them exactly as the author has written them.
  2. Include the title and the author’s name.
  3. Include an illustration for each poem.
  4. Each poem needs to be on a separate piece of paper.
  5. Write a paragraph for each poem, explaining what the author means in his/her poem. Be sure to include the mood of the poem, and what words or techniques the author uses to get that mood across to the reader.
