OVERVIEW OF JOB
The Information Security Analyst participates in the planning and implementation of security measures to protect the organization’s information networks and infrastructure. This position also conducts analysis to maintain the security and integrity of data.
As our Information Security Analyst you will develop security measures to ensure information security, by monitoring levels of security service to detect, prioritize, and neutralize threats. You will also conduct investigations and suggest corrective action to ensure information is secure. You will develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. In addition you will participate in incident management, including preparation, detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery. In order to accomplish this you will maintain up-to-date knowledge by following security related information resources for alerts and recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. All while assessing security breaches and events, performs forensic analysis on computer systems and network traffic, and participating in gathering, analyzing, and preserving evidence. You will also provide expert advice and serve as an internal consulting resource.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5 to 7 years of experience including information security and systems analysis.
• This position is on-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support.
• Information security certifications preferred (CISSP, GSEC, GISP, GCCC).
• Strong experience with personal computers, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft products.
• Project management and change management skills.
• Negotiation and mediation skills with an ability to mediate crisis situations.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
• Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, and Critical Security Controls.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.
