Application form for Monash BMedSc(Hons) students

Application deadline: 12 noon, July 24, 2017

Background:

Domestic Monash University (MU) MBBS students are invited to apply for the Colin Ingram Travel Award to fund a 3-month exchange toNewcastleUniversity (NU) in the United Kingdom in 2018.

The exchange must form a component of the students BMedSc(Hons) project.

The Award will cover airfares, accommodation and living expenses for the 3-month exchange ($5,000 AUD).

Student eligibility criteria:

1.  Must be a current Monash MBBS student

2.  Must be currently undertaking Year 4/C or 5/D

3.  Must have achieved at least a credit average across all prior MBBS years

4.  Must be an Australian citizen

5.  The award will be conditional upon acceptance into the BMedSc(Hons) Course

Application Process:

The MU-NU project booklet can be found here: http://www.med.monash.edu.au/bmedsc-hons/scholarships.html Interested and eligible MBBS students should discuss the project with supervisors at both locations and fill in the attached application form.

The Colin Ingram Travel Award application form must be submitted to:

Application deadline is 12 noon on July 24, 2017.

Selection Process:

Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

1.  Academic Track Record

2.  Feasibility of the Newcastle component in three months and

3.  Student and supervisor statements.

Projects longer than three months will be considered, however, no additional funding is available.

The selection committee reserves the right to not make any offers in any given year.

Students will be notified of the travel award outcome within a week of the application deadline.

Successful applicants must also submit a full BMedSc(Hons) application, by the BMedSc(Hons) application deadline (Aug 8, 2017).
