Philosophy and Purpose

Equestrian NSW is committed to continual improvement and development of equestrian sport and has created the Special Projects Fund with a view to meeting this objective. The purpose of the SPF is to support projects undertaken by any member or affiliate of the ENSW to develop the sport.

Submissions for the SPF must meet the guidelines for applications for funding of special projects. Submissions must be endorsed by and submitted via the applicable discipline committee or council.

The Board of ENSW shall determine to set aside or apply monies from the fund for purposes it considers appropriate to the philosophy of the fund and worthy of support.Budget for projects is capped at $5000 per project.

Any member or affiliate of ENSW may apply to the ENSW Board for assistance from the SPF for the purpose of developing the sport. Please note: Events or capital works projects do not qualify for SPF support.

Have you attached a budget for your SPF?

  • The proposer must supply a budget that incorporates all income and expense items of the project including funding expected from other sources.
  • No money will be paid to individuals unless the project itself requests such payments and these payments are approved by the Board.
  • On approval of your application, 80 per cent of the total funds granted will be paid to the applicant or organising committee. At the conclusion of the project the applicant is required to submit a report of the project's execution, includinga profit and loss account that demonstrates thefinancial performance of the statedproject within eight weeks of the completion date of the project.
  • The Board will consider the statements submitted and will then decide whether the balance should be paid.

The Board may approve grants up to $5,000.
