The following documents must be submitted to complete the application:

  1. Audited Financial Statement, certified by an independent certified public accountant for the most recent fiscal year.
  2. Documentation of State Approval or documentation from the state, which shows its approval for reclassification to a main campus, is not required.

Please note that approval by ABHES does not constitute eligibility to participate in FederalTitle IVprograms. Youare advised to research all relevant requirements governingTitle IV eligibility should you wish to participate in such programs.

On-Site Evaluation Visit

After receipt of the completed application document, an ABHES staff member will contact you to schedule an on-site evaluation visit to the campus. The results of the evaluation visit and the institution’s response to the visit report will be considered by the Commission at its next scheduled meeting. The institution will be notified by email of the Commission’s determination on its Application for Reclassification to a Main Campus within 30 days from the Commission Meeting.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND SUBMISSION

Application must be submitted no later than 12 weeks prior to the requested approval date.

The Application for Reclassification to a Main Campus is formatted in Microsoft Office Word. To complete the application, place the cursor in each box to key in your information. Answer boxes will expand to accommodate the inputted information. If converting the narrative to processing software other than Microsoft Office Word, you must save the document to Microsoft Office Word before submission to ABHES.

*The application must be submitted as one seamless Portable Document Format (.pdf) file. The application may not be submitted to the Commission via e-mail.

**It is imperative that the USB is correctly labeled with the (1) institution’s name, (2) city and state, (3) ABHES ID #, and (4) “Reclassification to a Main Campus.”
