Terms and Conditions for External Student Project at IICPT, Thanjavur

01 / The application will be scrutinized and the selection letter will sent to the concern HOD. The selected student has to pay a one-time (refundable) caution deposit of Rs.5,000/-and monthly (non-refundable) project fee of Rs. 6,000/-during registration. Caution deposit of Rs. 5,000/- will be refunded only after satisfying the items No.2 and 3
02 / IICPT faculty supervising the research work must be made as External Guide/Co-guide for the project work. His/her name must reflect in the project report with due endorsement. A space for his/her signature must be provided in the certificate page of the dissertation/thesis along with the name of the guide in the student’s Institution (as in the attached file)
03 / The student must submit two copies of the dissertation/thesiswith all required signatures to IICPT (one for his/her guide at IICPT, and the other for IICPT’s Library). Dissertation/thesisprepared for the college and for IICPT should be identical in all aspects
04 / The guide at the respective college may suggest the area of research. However the final decision lies with the Guide at IICPT, based on availability of resourcesand expertise in IICPT
05 / The student should be present at IICPT from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all working days during the project period. Attendance will be maintained at IICPT and minimum 80% attendance is mandatory for successful completion of the project work at IICPT. Attendance percentage will be intimated at the end of the project period
06 / Within IICPT premises and during working hours, the student should possess IICPT ID cardand must also carry ID card issued by the concerned institute
07 / Cost of any loss or damage caused by the student to IICPT property will be recovered from the student
08 / Library facility at IICPT is limited to reference only. Borrowing books or journals is not permitted. However photostatcopy of research literature can be obtained on payment basis
09 / Research data must be meticulously recorded in a well maintained data book. This book will be scrutinized during the project tenure
10 / Students can avail leave under genuine circumstances with prior permission from the guide with due endorsement from the Director. Informing his/her absence from our Institute for genuine causes to college authorities is the responsibility of the student.
11 / IICPT is not responsible for any injury/loss/ damage that may occur to the student during the tenure of his/her project work
12 / If the progress unsatisfactory, the concerned student project may be advised to be terminated at any point of time
