PARENT-INFANT CLASSES
Parents, this class is for you and your zero to 18
month old baby. A supportive environment since birth can make a difference in the development of a child. Children are currently exposed to many obstacles to development. This course will show you how to recognize those obstacles and show you which alternatives to offer to help your child's potential.
The class will be held in the Nido, a specially prepared environment for infants. The course is meant to be a relaxing experience for all, as it will accommodate for the needs of the moment such as nursing, mealtimes, infant exploration, etc. As the babies are engaged in their activity, our Parent Infant Coordinator, Sonya Jones, will cover the following topics:
PREPARING THE HOME ENVIRONMENT
DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE
DEVELOPMENT OF MOVEMENT
DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENCE
WEANING/EATING
TOILETING
POSITIVE GUIDANCE
MONTESSORI THEORIES
Come understand the Montessori approach to life and educational program at MCMS, specifically how these children exhibit so much confidence, concentration, independence, and joy. Receive priority in admission to MCMS in the future.

To facilitate discussion, a Montessori Book Understanding the Human Being by Dr. Silvana Montanaro is included for each family.
