MEMBERSHIP TYPES

  • Adult – 19 years or older as at 1 April 2017.
  • Student – full-time tertiary student 19 years or older as at 1 April 2017 – copy of student card required with application.
  • Junior – 18 years or younger as at 1 April 2017 - date of birth must be submitted with application.
  • Family – Parents and 1+ juniors (18 years or younger at 1 April 2017).

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Joining Fees and Yearly Subscriptions

Club year runs from 1 April to 31 March. The joining fee is not pro-rata’d.

Court Access

  • Access to the club is now via a PIN code to be entered at a keypad at the gate. Register for BookACourt to make court reservations and pay online for lights fees for night play. Dongles are now redundant. See club web site for details on the court access and booking system – BookACourt.
  • Annual subscription renewal notices are posted in early April each year and should be paid by 31 May at the latest to avoid having to repay joining fees and to maintain access to the courts and clubhouse.
  • Financial members may nominate for selection in pennant teams. They also pay a reduced ball fee to participate in organised social tennis (e.g. Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons). The Belconnen Tennis Club is affiliated with Tennis ACT and Tennis Australia and various benefits are available to financial club members including personal accident insurance for organised tennis.
  • Any change of address or phone number should be updated online by logging into MyTennis using you registered email address. Members who don’t have internet access or have problems can contact the Membership Secretary to get updates applied.

Club Policy on Court Use

  • Financial members have free use of courts during daylight hours subject to availability.
  • Members who bring non-members to play non-organised social tennis should collect a $5 visitor’s fee from each guest. If the guest is a member of another ACT tennis club, the visitor’s fee is $3. Pay to Committee member or EFT to Club Account - see Payment Options section above.
  • If a situation occurs during a pennant match that makes it impossible for the pennant players to use their allocated court, court hirers and other casual players must defer to the pennant players’ request.
  • Members are reminded to not leave the gates to the club opened and to check that all lights have been switched off prior to leaving.

The Belconnen Tennis Club is affiliated with and sponsored by Canberra Southern Cross Club (Jamison). The club is a major sponsor and all members of the tennis club are encouraged to be reciprocal members of CSCC.
