FM Global has a number of challenging, full-time, 6 month, paidco-op opportunities to offer to students that are motivated to apply their classroom experience, professional attitude and personal ambition. You will co-op with a world class IT organization that develops the latest technologies to deliver commercial and industrial property insurance and risk management services to FM Global’s clients around the world. You will get first hand experience while earning college credits and getting paid!

With a large college-age population, Providence offers a vibrant arts and entertainment scene that includes local theatre and music, collegiate and minor league sporting events, and great restaurants in all price ranges.
Successful candidates should be prepared to show that they are:
Enrolled in a Computer Science, IT or MIS degree program
Have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Application Developer/Analyst
As an FM Global application developer / analyst, you will be challenged to develop, test and implement business applications supporting various functions throughout the corporation. Daily, you will be working with our business analysts and a team of developers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable solutions for internal business partners and our clients.
You will demonstrate your technical expertise to provide support for complex systems. Your work will allow FM Global to continue to be the world leader in property insurance by increasing processing efficiency, business intelligence, and effectiveness of our employees.
The successful student(s) will have a degree in Computer Science, IT / IS, or related program. As an FM Global business analyst, you will be charged with using your strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail, and your basic understanding of information technology concepts. In particular, you will be able to use your experience in the following areas: object-oriented programming (VB.NET or C#), SQL, software testing and debugging.
BUSINESS ANALYST
As an FM Global business analyst, you will be challenged to understand the business processes of various functions throughout the corporation and to translate those process requirements to I.S. programming and infrastructure teams. Daily, you will be working to develop requirements, test, train, and implement new solutions for internal business partners and our clients. Your work will allow FM Global to continue to be the world leader in property insurance by increasing processing efficiency, business intelligence, and effectiveness of our employees.
The successful student(s) will have a degree in Computer Science, IT / IS, Management or related program. As an FM Global business analyst, you will be charged with using your strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail, and your basic understanding of information technology concepts. In particular, you will be able to use your experience in the following areas: process flow modeling, use case analysis, functional requirement definition, data analysis and more.
CLIENT TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
As an FM Global client technology specialist, you will be challenged to create and maintain client images for our global workforce and business applications supporting various functions throughout the corporation. Daily, you will be working with other I.S. professionals to investigate and resolve questions pertaining to our client operating systems, scripts to assist software deployment, anti-Virus and other solutions.
You will demonstrate your technical expertise to provide support for complex application development and act as the resource for global client deployment and delivery. Your work will allow FM Global to continue to be the world leader in property insurance by increasing processing efficiency, business intelligence, and effectiveness of our employees.
The successful student(s) will have a degree in Computer Science, IT / IS, or related program. As an FM Global client technology specialist, you will be charged with using your strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail, and your basic understanding of information technology concepts. In particular, you will be able to use your experience in the following areas: PC configurations, Microsoft client operating systems, script writing, anti-virus software, client firewall and more.
Server Technology Specialist
As an FM Global server technology specialist, you will be challenged to build, administer and maintain server infrastructure to support our global workforce and portfolio of business applications. Daily, you will be working with other I.S. professionals to investigate and resolve questions pertaining to our administration of server and network operating systems, assist with the installation, maintenance and upgrade of hardware/software.
You will demonstrate your technical expertise to provide support for complex application development and act as the resource for global server deployment and delivery. Your work will allow FM Global to continue to be the world leader in property insurance by increasing processing efficiency, business intelligence, and effectiveness of our employees.
The successful student(s) will have a degree in Computer Science, IT / IS, or related program. As an FM Global server technology specialist, you will be charged with using your strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail, and your basic understanding of information technology concepts. In particular, you will be able to use your experience in the following areas: server architecture and administration, Microsoft Active Director and Exchange, database concepts, Microsoft server operating systems, and more.
