Junior Volunteer Application

Junior Volunteer application process:

  1. Complete the Junior Volunteer application and acquire a letter of recommendation from a science teacher, or guidance counselor, to be submitted to the Assistant Volunteer Coordinator by April 30th.
  2. Student interviewswith the Assistant Volunteer Coordinator.
  3. If accepted to the program, the student must attend an orientation before starting his/her volunteer service and the student must pay the $25 program fee.

This program runs in two separate summer sessions. The first session runs from June 13 – July 17. The second session runs from July 18 – August 21. Junior Volunteers are required to put in a minimum of 40 hours during their sessions. Space is limited per session. Orientation will be held on June 11 and July 16 at 8:30 AM. The Junior Volunteer Program requires a thoughtful time commitment to completing a designated number of hours over a set time period. Students, who have summer plans that prohibit the student from actively participating in five consecutive weeks of volunteerism, should not apply for this program.

No form letters or letters from family or friends will be accepted.
