Applewood Community Centre Sports Hall User Policy:

These rules have been developed by the Board of Directors of Applewood Community Centre to help provide a safe environment for user groups, to protect the surface of the Junkers flooring and to support the longevity of the Sports Hall Floor. This facility is a shared Community / School facility funded by The Department of Education & Skills & Fingal County Council provided for Community use.

PLEASE RESPECT COMMUNITY CENTRE AND SCHOOL PROPERTY

Before using or entering the sports hall please read the following rules:

1. Only non marking sole runners / footwear may be worn in the sports hall

2. Please ensure that your runners / footwear are clean before entering the sports hall.

3. Under no circumstances can FOOD or DRINKS be consumed in the sports hall.

All food and drink must be consumed in Room 1 or in the designated vending machine areas.

4. Any spillages or marks should be reported to a member of staff.

5. There is strictly NO CHEWING GUM allowed in the community centre / campus.

6. All users must ensure that any goals / nets or equipment provided by their group/s has adequate protection and is not liable to scratch the sports hall floor.

7. No child under the age of 8 is allowed inside the facility unless supervised by an adult.

8. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES can high-heeled shoes, boots or sandals or any type of outdoor footwear that may damage the surface of the floor be worn in the sports hall.

9. Any group / individual found in breech of these rules will have their bookings suspended until further notice or in certain cases cancelled.

10. Applewood Community Centre, Gaeilscoil Bhrian Bóroimhe & Swords Educate Together expects Managers / Group Leaders / Tutors to explain this policy clearly to all group participants / students before playing on or entering the sports hall.

11. Centre / School Staff will carry out spot checks on groups and individuals to ensure that this policy is adhered to.

12. There is no jewellery allowed whilst participating in any physical exercise area in the facility.

13. No furniture or equipment can be moved around or out of the sports hall.

If this is required please report to a member of Applewood Community Centre Staff.

14. Clubs must vacate the sports hall at the end of their hire time (55 Minutes)

15. No mobile telephones allowed inside the sports hall

16. No cameras or recording devices allowed into any exercise / sports area unless permission is granted.

17. All damages must be reported to centre reception immediately after the incident failure to do so will result in the booking being stopped until such damages are paid for.
