JOB TITLE: Partnership Officer

JOB HOLDER: Vacant April 2018

1MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To nurture and develop relationshipswith a selected group of donors,to meet their needs and help increase financial support for our work.

2POSITION IN ORGANISATION

  • Working within the Partnerships team alongside four team members and reporting to the Partnerships Manager

3SCOPE OF JOB

  • To manage caseload of donors and achieve income targets in line with TLMEW Strategic Plan
  • To research current and future donors
  • Supporter visits in the UK and overseas to see TLM’s work

4DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

  • Makes recommendations to the Partnerships Manager and then takes action as agreed on issues relating to specific group of donors

5PROVEN ABILITY & SKILLS LEVEL

  • A successful track record of key account management, working in a sales or

customer facing environment

  • Qualified to A Level standard or equivalent
  • A genuine love for people from all backgrounds and the ability to build relationships with ease both on the telephone and face to face
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills and ability to work to multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work as part of a team, cross team and

independently

  • Excellent written English with a flair for writing copy and presenting information in an easily accessible format for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data
  • Proactive initiative with the ability to make appropriate decisions without referral
  • Good negotiating skills with a proven ability to manage external partners
  • Confident and engaging public speaker
  • Microsoft Office Word/Excel at Immediate level
  • Able to undertake occasional UK and travel overseas up to two times per annum (trips are typically 10 - 14 days in duration)
  • This job carries an occupational requirement for the job holder to be a practising

Christian, as the job holder is required to undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMEW written materials.

Part 2: DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB TITLE:Partnership Officer

JOB HOLDER:Vacant

To manage caseload of donors and achieve income targets in line with TLMEW Strategic Plan 75%

  • To develop and nurture relationships with existing supporters, identifying interests and patterns of giving
  • To work closely with the Direct Marketing team to personalise all communications to ensure supporters feel valued and are retained
  • To plan communications across the team
  • To create innovative ways of engaging supporters
  • To write emotive case stories and reports for donors – bringing our projects to life on paper
  • To regularly talk to supporters on the telephone
  • To design cards and other touchpoints
  • To liaise with external suppliers
  • To extract data andanalyse activities and income
  • To maintain accurate records on database
  • To prepare regular management information reports in respect of donor fundraising activity, including performance against income targets

To research current and future donors20%

  • To undertake research to identify prospects
  • To develop prospects and upgrade high value supporters from the direct marketing pool
  • To learn more about existing supporters, their interests and giving potential

Supporter visits in the UK and overseas to see TLM’s work5%

  • To occasionally host donors wishing to visit TLM’s work overseas for up 10 days at a time
  • To occasionally make home visits to supporters
