Agenda:

1.  Introductions

Meet and get to know each other.

Agenda and Minutes: Nov. 18, 2009
·  Introduce any new members of the Steering Team.
·  Dee Combs – Sr. Production Engineer at Chesapeake. Dee joined the meeting for the first time and introduced herself.

2.  Discussion

Initial discussions.

Minutes: Oct. 21, 2009
·  We agree to have two days for the Seminar, with one day for Continuing Education courses and one day for Technical Presentations.
·  We will need to limit the Seminar to a maximum of about 300 participants.
·  We actually expect to have on the order of 100 – 200 attendees.
·  We need to consider the possibility of having simultaneous sessions to cover both low rate and high rate wells. However, the general consensus is that we should have one general session, rather than parallel sessions, unless there are too many high-quality presentations to fit in one day of presentations.
·  We can consider using Matt Vavro to teach a course. This may not fit the plan for the first year, but could be a potential in the future.
·  It would be nice to have hands-on aspects in the training courses, when this is feasible.
·  We would like to have more than two courses.
·  1 Day, General Gas Well Deliquification, coordinated by Jim Lea.
·  1 Day, Plunger Lift, coordinated by Lynn Rowlan.
·  ½ Day, Sucker Rod, coordinated by Norm Hein.
·  ½ Day, Chemical, coordinated by Brad Davison with Multi Chem,
·  We need to offer a Continuing Education Certificate for those who attend the courses and the Seminar.
·  We can have technical papers and/or breakout sessions on other methods of artificial lift: e.g. gas-lift.
Agenda and Minutes: Nov. 18, 2009
·  Are there more general comments, in addition to those above?
·  There were no further comments at this time.

3.  Seminar Venue

Visit the facilities at Marietta College where the event will be held.

Minutes: Oct. 21, 2009
·  We visited the potential class rooms, exhibit hall, lecture halls, etc.
·  There are several options.
·  We will make decisions when we know more about the actual courses, numbers of attendees in each course, number of attendees for the Seminar, etc.
Agenda and Minutes: Nov. 18, 2009
·  Are there any comments on the Marietta College facilities at this time?
·  The College will have lots of flexibility on use of rooms.
·  We will try to organize the use of rooms in advance, but can make last minute adjustments if necessary.

4.  Important Issues

Discuss the most important issues facing gas well operations and deliquification in particular, in the Appalachian Basin area. These will help form the basis for the major topics to be addressed in the Seminar.

Minutes: Oct. 21, 2009
·  There needs to be a focus on horizontal wells. There are no people who can teach a course on horizontals at this time, but we can solicit Technical Presentations, have a Breakout Session, etc.
·  There are many very low rate wells, e.g. 15 – 30 MCF/Day and a few gallons of liquid per day.
·  There are many new wells, in the Marcellus Shale, that produce several MMCF/Day.
·  Some wells are individually metered; some use well test facilities.
·  A typical Operator is responsible for 100 – 200 wells.
·  Automation is used on the Marcellus Shale, on multiple wells drilled from pads. This is referred to as the “electronic well concept.”
Agenda and Minutes: Nov. 18, 2009
·  Are there any more important issues to be addressed in the Seminar?
·  There no further comments on important issues at this time.
