Required material and formal lab report

Do not retype the materials, procedures, observations, drawings, data collection and graph from the wet and dry experiment. Simply attach the packet to the back of your lab. This includes the questions and answers, which I do not want you to retype.

Attach the typed procedures and data table I stamped in class to the back of the packet.

The formal lab report should be in the following order:

Research: A cited summary of the research that you did that allowed you to form your hypothesis. Do not forget what you learned from the wet/dry experiment, that was part of your research. Include taxonomic and physiological information.

Hypothesis: This should be in the correct “If……, then….” format.

Materials: a bulleted list

Procedures: A numbered list that accurately shows exactly what you and your partner did in the lab.

Data table: put “see attached” and make sure that it is attached to the back.

Graph: This must be computer generated!! You should know how to create graphs. Make sure to identify the dependent and independent variables. It should look the same as the page in the packet.

Results and conclusion: Verbalize your findings using the data. Answer your hypothesis. Discuss what might have caused the pillbugs to have acted differently than you expected or discuss why they did act as you expected. Discuss errors. Discuss changes you would make to your experimental set up. Discuss additional trials that you could do based on the knowledge that you now have.
