Anytime Fitness appoints Ben Dixon as Commercial and Property Director
Anytime Fitness, the fastest growing fitness franchise in the world, has appointed Ben Dixon as its UK Commercial and Property Director.
Ben brings over 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry to the role and will be the driving force in helping the company to further grow its presence in the UK market. Ben will be responsible for steering projects within Anytime Fitness’ Property, Construction, Compliance and Procurement departments and reports to UK CEO Stuart Broster.
Ben joins Anytime Fitness after two years as Group Estates Manager at Pure Gym, where he played an integral role in the day-to-day running of its 200-strong estate and was a key point of contact across the business for clubs, regional managers and the facilities team.
Prior to this, Ben spent over 12 years at LA Fitness, gaining experience at Director level and holding posts in risk and compliance and health and safety after joining the company as a General Manager.
Ben comments: “I’m delighted to be joining such an ambitious and forward-thinking company at a key time in its development. Having been in the fitness industry most of my career and worked in many operating models, joining a franchise was the next step. With my accumulation of commercial and operating experience, I felt it was time to utilise this in a different way to help benefit our customers, the franchisees and their customers, the consumer.”
Commenting on Ben’s appointment Stuart Broster added: “Having worked with Ben at LA Fitness, I know that Anytime Fitness is gaining a highly motivated and experienced professional who is an important piece in our future jigsaw. Ben will strengthen our delivery in all aspects of our vision including our ambitious growth plans and raising the profile of our brand and service levels. His proven experience of managing a large health club estate at Pure Gym will be invaluable as we meet our target of having 190 Anytime Fitness sites operating in the UK by the end of 2018.”
Anytime Fitness currently has over 140 locations in the UK and over 4,000 across the world, surpassing the growth rates of franchise leaders such as Subway, McDonald’s and Pizza Hut.
