BYMB Awards Programme – Snare Drum

The BYMB Awards Programme recognises and rewards individual commitment, effort and achievement in six areas – Rehearsal, Performance, Discipline, deportment & turnout, Skill, Knowledge and Interest.

Every youth member (school / college age - under 19) of the Band who participates in the Programme should face a similar degree of challenge. The requirements can be adapted according to each young person’s abilities.

The scheme will largely run in the background during our regular meetings and performances.

For current members the rehearsals, provided that the minimum 70% has been met, can be backdated. If this has been achieved the performances can then be backdated to count from September 2016.

In Levels 4 and 5 the practice on solos and duets and the research required should be in members own time. BYMB will be providing the opportunity to perform the solo /duet pieces.

For a Youth Member to gain an award membership subscriptions and any other membership requirements must be up to date.
