With immense pleasure Annual Report for the academic year 2015-2016 is submitted. Implementation of UGC funded carrier oriented programmes by the departments of Chemistry and Commerce, UGC funded Coaching for Entry into Government Services, Research Projects, Activities of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Research Guidance Cell, Library Advisory Committee and Vellikallam are commendable. Computer Literacy campaign for non-computer students was successfully launched by IQAC and Department of Computer Science. Short term value added courses are offered by Departments of English (both Regular and Self financed) and Computer Science. Progress is evident in the pass percentage of the out gone batch.

Updating subject knowledge by the teachers and students, publishing research articles, students’ participation in outdoor curricular activities are the remarkable features of the report.

Graduation Day was celebrated on 25-04-2016. Dr. K. Baskar, Vice Chancellor, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli was the guest of honour.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Systems are the self regulated responsibilities of the Higher Education Institutions and aimed at continuous improvement quality.

IQAC of our institution adopts some quality management strategies in curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

The Principal and the co-ordinator convened meetings at frequent intervals to prepare the Action Plan for the academic year and to design the activities that would reflect the goals of the institution.

As a progressive step towards the accreditation process the Steering Committee has been constituted with the consensus of all the heads of the departments.

Steering Committee :

As a progressive step towards the accreditation process, the Steering Committee has prepared the Self Study Report and placed it to the Committee on 18-1-2016 to finalise the report. Earlier it submitted LOI on 16-12-2015 and got acknowledgement from NAAC on
19-12-2015 with assigned Track ID TNCOGN25747. On 22-12-2015 it remitted the registration fee of Rs. 28,625/-

On 4-1-2016, the NAAC accepted the LOI and activated the Track ID. On 9-1-2016, Steering Committee submitted the IEQA (Institutional Eligibility for Quality Assessment) through online and was accepted by NAAC.

Self Study Report was submitted to the NAAC office, Bangalore on 21-1-2016.

On 18-5-2016, the NAAC intimated that NAAC PEER TEAM VISIT to our College is scheduled during 11-13, July 2016.
