Annual Professional Training

You are cordially invited to the Expert Trimmer Forum’sannual training day the,which will take place on Thursday, June 30th, 2011,the 25th of Sivan 5771 between09:00-16:00, in the Agriculture Campus auditorium of the Ministry of Agriculture - Beit Dagan.
In 2005, the Plant Engineering and Botanical Gardens Section in the Ministry of Agriculture established theExpert Trimmerforum in which participants successfully completing the course receive an Expert Trimmer Certificate. The objectiveofthe forum is toupdate the trimmers in a variety of professional, mechanical and safety-related issues pertaining to the field of trimming garden trees and to clarify variousadditional subjects.
There is no doubt that trimming garden trees is an issue of significant professional value and awareness concerning its importance has grown amongthose commissioning trimming in both urban and the rural areas, as well as among those actually in the tree trimming profession. Startingfrom 2001,interagency specifications require that any tree-trimmer engaged in public gardening activity [Section 41] holda tree-trimming expert certificate. However, it is clear that a basic course does not suffice and there is a need foradditional study and advanced learning programs conducted by private companies and additional bodies.
In 2008, the Ministry of Agriculture established a ForestCommissioner Unit to deal with furthering the issue of treeprotection. One of the unit's objectives is to maintain professional contact with those engaged in the tree-trimming profession, as they are anactive and significant entity in the protection of trees and in a front row seat in the prevention of their illegal felling and/or mutilation. Therefore, a decision was made to have this activity jointly sponsored by the Plant Engineering and Botanical Gardens Section and the Forest Commissioner's Unit.
As previously noted, participation in this forum is intended solely for those holding anExpert Trimmercertificate issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and actively engaged in tree trimming and/or its supervision.
The list of forum participants and their areas of expertise will appear following the conference on the Ministry of Agriculture's website.
Conference participants will receive a Certificate of Participation at the conclusion of the 2011 Forum.
