note re: C.V. format

This C.V. is formatted in a manner typical for academic purposes but giving primacy to exhibitions (and related activities) as these are a primary mode of creation/dissemination in visual arts. Where appropriate, sections are introduced with explanatory notes for those without specialized knowledge in the field of visual arts — to such things as residency programs and equivalency to peer review in visual arts practice.

1.Post-Secondary Education and Residencies:

(note: Residencies are working studio facilities, equipped for artists to create bodies of work and, in the case of such large residency programs as the Banff Centre, to engage with a broad cross section of visual arts’international community of artists, critics and curators)

Garrett-Petts, David Hoffos, Walter Lew, Glen Lowry, Ernie Kroeger, and Celeste Olalquiaga). The projectbrought together an international group of artists and scholars. Each of four artists created installation works to occupy rooms in Kamloops’ former/historical law courts. These collective projects provided the setting for a public lecture (Olalquiaga (France)) and panel discussion in which each artist was paired with a scholar (cultural theory, English/criticism, philosophy) to consider aspects of vernacular-based practice in their projects and broader practices. In collaboration of Vancouver’s Contemporary Art Gallery the collective works of the Court House Project were anthologized and extended in Staging Vernaculars, a special issue of the literary journal West Coast Line (2007), 2005
