Announcements for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 B Day

Announcements for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 – “B Day”

I am a Beville Bobcat on the PROWL. I will show leadership every day as I choose to respect myself and others.

Today is the last day for the Operation Turkey collection for food. Thanks to all who supported this worthy cause.

The Library is starting an after-school book club! Our first book is Hidden Figures, the true story of African American women who helped launch the space program. We will meet on Wednesday November 8, to discuss the book and on Wednesday, November 29, to watch the movie made from the book. Pick up your permission slip in the library -- there are only 15 spots available on a first come, first served basis.

This Friday, on October 27, 2017, the PTSO will sponsor a Halloween Fun Day from 3:15 to 5 p.m. The cost is $5 and includes food. Tickets will be sold during all lunch shifts starting today, Tuesday, and on Wednesday, and Thursday (10/24, 10/25, and 10/26). No tickets will be sold be sold after the final lunch shift on Thursday. No exceptions. You must be academically and conduct eligible to purchase a ticket based on your report card at the end of last year. If you failed more than one class, or received two “U’s” for conduct, then you are ineligible to attend the Fun Day. Sixth graders have a clean slate, unless you (and anyone else) have received an OSS within the last 20 days. Please keep these parameters in mind when purchasing your ticket, as no refunds are given. Thank you!

Step Team try-outs will begin on Monday, October 30, beginning at 3:15 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. All students trying out must place their names on the sign-up sheets located in the girls and boys locker rooms.

Girls basketball tryouts will begin on November 8, and you must have a sports physical and concussion card on file at the school in order to try-out. There will be a concussion class for girls trying out for basketball on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at 7 p.m. here at Beville.

Yearbook Club is starting up again! If you are interested in joining, please come see Mrs. Wode in Room 49 for the sign-up form.
