The Waynesville R-VI School District is located in south-central Missouri off Interstate 44 between St. Louis and Springfield, about 45 minutes southeast of the Lake of the Ozarks. The district serves the growing communities of Waynesville and St.Robert, and the Fort Leonard Wood military post which results in a mobile community and a unique student body. Six elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one area technical academy serve the student population of approximately 5,400.

Qualifications:* Minimum of five (5) years of successful school teaching experience
* Minimum of a Master’s Degree in education administration, or in a certifiable area recognized in Missouri.
* Valid Missouri School Principal Certificate for level of position.
* Successful completion of the building-level administrator’s assessment designated by the State Board of Education.
* Knowledge of grade level educational programs, curriculum, instructional strategies, and technology
* Knowledge of annual reporting of school MAP/EOC and NCLB standards.
* Five (5) years of successful administrative or supervisory experience preferred.
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.
Position:* 12-month position
* This individual supervises the total operation of Waynesville Middle School with an approximate enrollment of 862 students.
* Provides leadership and direction, creating a productive atmosphere where students can learn.
