1/6th of 18 = 3 months will be counted at 2/3rd i.e. = 2 months.
Total= 8 months
Non-Trading vessels like OSV’s, Cable laying ships, AHTS, Dredgers, Diving Vessels, Survey vessels, SPS ships etc, operating in foreign waters/ Indian coastal waters / 500 GT or more / a) Maximum of 1/3rd of total sea service required at full rate
b) Maximum of 1/6th of total sea service required at 2/3rd rate / 12 months
(DLP cadet or GP ratings with SSTP) / 1/3rd of 24 = 8 months will be counted full
1/6th of 24 = 4 months will be counted at 2/3rd i.e = 2.7 months
Total = 10.7 months
Non-Trading vessels like OSV’s, Cable laying ships, AHTS, Dredgers, Diving Vessels, Survey vessels, SPS ships etc, operating in foreign waters/ Indian coastal waters / 500 GT or more / a) Maximum of 1/3rd of total sea service required at full rate

(Three/four year B.Sc.NS or B.E. Marine cadets) / 1/3rd of 12 = 4 months will be counted full
