AnJo Youth Baseball is aLocal Baseball organization known for providing strong baseball instructions, intermediate competitiveness, and sportsmanship for youths of all levels. The league has been around for 60 years, founded in 1955, but has recently experienced a rebirth with amazing results. Once again we are happy to report that in 2014 all four of our divisions were packed solid with players and coaches. We significantly reinvested in the property using revenue from snack shack sales and sponsorships. But, most importantly, we were able to teach many, many young kids about the great “American pastime”.
AnJo is a non-profit, youth baseball organization located on Davison Road in Lockport. For the past fiveyears, we’ve teamed up with the New Era CapCompany and their “New Era Park Program” in an effort to bring baseball to more local kids from our area. Together, our emphasis has been on summer baseball and providing an outlet for kids after school and other baseball leagues end. This has been our niche.
Here are some highlights from 2014:
- Filled all divisions to capacity
- Increased sponsorships
- Continued reinvestment in our diamonds
- Leveled outfield on Field 5
- Fully enclosed dugouts to Fields 2 and 6 with steel roofs, Looking to add 2 more dugouts in 2015
- New restrooms near concession stand with concrete slab
- Our partner, New Era, continue to expand their outreach. They conducted five weekend tournaments, including the New Era Cap Classic and we ran two softball tournaments. These tournaments brought in over 75 teams from WNY and Canada.
Participation as an AnJo sponsor is a great way to show your support for the youth of our community, as well as to expose your business to many people over a wide geographic area. In addition to the local youth, New Era is bringing in teams from across the country. With your support, AnJo will be able to continue on its path to become a stronger, larger, and more vibrant league. You may choose from a variety of sponsorship options (see attached). In return, AnJo will provide advertising in the form of signage, team t-shirts, raffle tickets, and/or posting on our internet site.
Please help us continue down our path to create a solid, committed and stable league dedicated to teaching this great game and everything it brings with it.
