RD: What´s it like to play at home, where you grew up and is it different to play somewhere else?

Eva: It is the good catch question...I think I like to play at home infront of my family because they

support me and nothing ties my hands. It isn´t depressing.

Unfortunately, as i´ve played in Prague for a couple of years now they don´t think about me as

a domestic player but as a guest.

RD: Have you specified any goals for today? Have you decided to win?

Eva: Yes I have. We wanted to win the doubles and then any medal in the singles would be good.

RD: What is the most important thing in badminton? Is it speed, perception or attention?

Eva: It´s difficult to specify this. My advantage is that I stay cool and calm. I take it easy, no stress.

That´s why I am stronger than my opponents. Despite the fact they have better technique or

psychical capacity.

RD: What decided the final?

Eva: My opponent´s ambition was so strong and for me was the good result even to loose the game.

My winning was just the top of it for me.

RD: Was it about the Psyche?

Eva: Yeah, exactly,Psyche.

RD: How can you combine your work - you are a teacher- and being the top player in Czech

Republic. Exhausting?

Eva: I dont´t care. I don´t practise as much as before. I am happy to hit the court. I pass a lot during

my practices with my kids (Eva is a couch of the youngsters in Prague) but for almost 2 years I

am not running any more. It´s God given gift.

RD: Surely you have had offers from abroad. Did you think about it?

Eva: You might be surprised - I didn´t get any offers. You have to go yourself, you have to contact

some club. It´s the question of money. I don´t care. I like playing here.

RD: Badminton isn´t very popular in Czech Republic, why?

Eva: It isn´t our traditional sport. There is no base for badminton. It is difficult to couch somebody

who can reach higher rank. There are 3 boys now who could try get to the Olympic Games.

One of them could reach it.

It is similar with 2 women who were attended this final. They will have worse position than

that mentioned guys. As I have already said there is no base.

RD: Have you any idea what should be changed to make badminton more popular?

Eva: Lure the school children and spread out the base.

RD: Have you any dream which you would like to fulfill?

Eva: I have already fulfilled all my dreams. I have never dreamt about the Olympic Games, the

World championship or to win the European championship. I would prefer to help someone to

reach something.

RD: Thanks a lot for your time Eve, and good luck both in your player´s and couch´s career!
